The Bad Rep Still Counts
Wabi-sabi is a Japanese aesthetic built around imperfection — the cracked bowl, the asymmetry, the visible repair. Nothing is discarded for being flawed. The flaw is part of the object's history.
Apply it to your last bad game, your missed rep, your off day. It doesn't erase the standard you're holding yourself to. It's part of the record of trying to hold it.
Perfectionism quietly kills consistency, because perfectionists quit the moment the streak breaks. Kaizen doesn't require perfect days. It requires today, imperfect and all, followed by tomorrow.
